Virat Kohli: During the final Super Fours match against Bangladesh in the Asia Cup 2023, the team decided to rest former India captain Virat Kohli along with four other players on Friday, September 15. Nevertheless, Kohli, the renowned batsman, stayed engaged on the field by taking on the role of delivering water to his teammates at the R Premadasa Stadium. However, the way he ran through the ground will leave you laughing.

Virat Kohli turns waterboy

Virat Kohli, dressed in the attire of the 12th man, took on the role of delivering drinks onto the field following Shardul Thakur’s successful dismissal of Tanzid Hasan in the fourth over of the match. India had won the toss and elected to field. Kohli was spotted wearing sunglasses as he sprinted onto the field with refreshments. However, his run wasn’t normal as he hilariously jumped his hands until he reached to the huddle.

This isn’t the first instance where Virat Kohli has assisted his team while not being in the playing eleven. During this short water break, Virat Kohli, who had been rested for the match, was observed engaging in a conversation with Shami just before the latter took a wicket. This particular interaction between Kohli and Shami quickly gained popularity on the internet, with fans expressing curiosity about the advice Kohli might have imparted just before Shami’s successful wicket-taking moment.
