Rohit Sharma gets out on zero
MI came to bat first and they began with a tactical change by promoting Cameron Green to the opening slot. However, he couldn’t do much and was dismissed for a score of 6 runs in 4 balls. Rohit Sharma, the skipper then entered the crease. A big knock was expected from him since he has been in a bad patch so far.
However, in the third over, Ishan Kishan departed on just the second ball of the over after being caught out by Theekshana. The pressure started to mount on Rohit and he tried going for a big shot but was ultimately caught out by Ravindra Jadeja. Sharma has now overtaken Sunil Narine, Mandeep Singh, and Dinesh Karthik, who previously held the top positions on the list with 15 ducks. Rohit Sharma now holds the top spot with 16 ducks in the history of the tournament. In the last match vs PBKS also, he was dismissed for a three-ball duck.
