MI vs DC WPL 2023: Renowned for her aggressive batting skills and dancing, Jemimah Rodrigues further lit up the DY Patil Stadium today with her quick reflexes. Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals are currently contesting in the 18th match of the Women’s Premier League. Mumbai Indians did not have a good start and Jemimah worsened their situation with an absolute screamer that eventually dismissed Hayley Matthews.
Jemimah Rodrigues pulls a screamer
Delhi Capitals won the toss and opted to field first, Marizanne Kapp firstly crippled the start as she took two wickets in two balls just at the beginning of the third over. Then, Shikha Pandey came in to bowl the fourth over. Eventually, just on the third ball Hayley Matthews tried to go big due to continuous dot balls.
However, her attack was shattered by Jemimah who ran towards the mid and picked a stunning catch by diving in the end. The wicket (Hayley Matthews – 5 off 10) left Delhi Capitals erupting in joy as many were left surprised by the stunner Jemimah pulled. However, MI was left in shock as they batted through their worst-ever performance in the tournament, scoring just 19 runs in powerplay with a loss of three wickets,.
