Mumbai Indians had a slow start in the game as they could score just 6 runs after two overs. Kapp, who bowled the first over of the innings was called back by skipper Harmanpreet Kaur for the third over. Just on the first ball of the over, she made her first blow as she dismissed opener Yastika Bhatia (1 off 6) as she was caught out by wicket keeper Taniya Bhatia.
Just on the second ball of the over, she bowled out star batter Sciver Brunt on a duck. Her dismissal sent the MI camp and fans into shock and surprise as nobody could have expected such a disappointing start from the table topper. However, MI failed to counter attack later as well, scoring just 19 runs with a loss of three wickets in the powerplay. However, she could not compete her hat-trick after Harmanpreet Kaur successfully defended the ball.
