MI vs KKR IPL 2023: During the ongoing IPL 2023 match between Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, Hrithik Shokeen dismissed Nitish Rana, which led to a heated exchange between the two. Nitish Rana’s performance with the bat in this match was not as good as his last two games as he was dismissed for 5 runs in 10 balls.
Nitish Rana & Hrithik’s furious spat
Following his dismissal by spinner Hrithik Shokeen on the first ball of the 9th over, a controversy erupted between him and Southpaw Nitish Rana, leading to a heated exchange as Rana was leaving the field. Rana had attempted to hit a big shot but misfired, resulting in Ramandeep Singh catching the ball easily to end his innings. Shokeen said something to Rana as he was walking out, which upset the already-disappointed Rana, causing him to confront Shokeen.
The situation escalated when Shokeen gestured for Rana to leave, further infuriating him, and causing him to shout angrily before some Mumbai Indians players stepped in to defuse the situation. Suryakumar Yadav and Piyush Chawla had to come and intervene in the situation along ith the umpires while abuses were hurled on the crease.
