MI vs PBKS IPL 2023: Since the last month, Suryakumar Yadav has been feeling immense pressure as he has been dismissed for unremarkable innings several times. His poor form continued in IPL, but it appears that he has finally gotten his rhythm back, as seen in the last couple of months. However, in today’s match, he showed that he still has the same fire within by hitting the similar shots, which he used to hit earlier.
Suryakumar Yadav’s hattrick of four
After the batting onslaught by PBKS batters in the last few overs, they managed to post 215 runs in 20 overs. Coming to chase a massive score, MI did not have an ideal start as they lost opener Ishan Kishan cheaply. However, after Rohit Sharma’s departure after scoring 44 off 27 balls, Suryakumar Yadav entered the crease at 84 runs in the 10th over.
By the end of the 11th over, they had scored 95 runs. However, as Suryakumar Yadav was on the crease, a firework was expected. Just in the next over, which was being bowled by Livingstone, he smashed three boundaries on three consecutive balls. Interestingly, all these shots came as sweep shots, making it a typical SKY inning. As of writing this, MI has scored 132/2 in 14 overs with Suryakumar Yadav still on the crease at an unbeaten 39 in 17 balls. Surya has also completed 6,000 runs in the shortest format of game.
