MI vs RCB WPL 2023: Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore are currently playing against each other in their second match of the tournament. Smriti Mandhana led RCB won the toss and opted to bat first. However, once again the top order of the team has failed to perform after a good start.
RCB batters fail to perform
Clash between MI and RCB was expected to be a thrilling one and it had a similar start as well. Within just 4.1 overs, the Bold Army had scored 39 runs without any loss. However, luck had other plans as Smriti Mandhana’s decision ultimately backfired. Within the next three balls, Ishaque dismissed Sophie Devine (16 off 11) and new batter Disha Kasat (on a duck) as well.
This was not the end of RCB’s woes, however, as Hayley Matthews came to bowl in the next over. She dismissed skipper Mandhana on the second ball of the over. And then on the next ball she also dismissed the new batter Knight on duck. Many netizens started trolling the team for their sudden collapse while batting.

RCB team boasts star batters such as Smriti Mandhana, Sophie Devine, Ellyse Perry. Thus, this kind of result is disappointing for their fans. People have been comparing their performance to the men’s team too. Mumbai Indians won their first match of the tournament by massive 143 runs against GG while RCB lost their opener clash against Delhi Capitals by 60 runs.
