MI vs SRH IPL 2023: At the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Tuesday, April 18, Cameron Green scored his first-ever fifty in the Indian Premier League (IPL) against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Initially, the right-handed batter had a tough time in the tournament as he kept getting out inexpensively. However, his confidence grew after he played a crucial role in finishing the game against the Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi. He was bought in the auction for INR 17.5 crore.
Cameron Green’s blistering inning
Carrying his confidence from the previous game, Cameron Green played against the Orange Army with determination. After Aiden Markram put Mumbai Indians (MI) in to bat first, Green reached his half-century off 33 balls. Although he was playing steadily, he accelerated his scoring after the 17th over.
In the 18th over, Green smashed T Natarajan for three consecutive fours and then hit a six. With his third four of the over through deep point, he completed his 50 runs. However, he could not manage to score any fours in the last two overs of MI’s innings. Green remained unbeaten on 64 runs off 40 balls, which included six fours and two sixes. He had a partnership of 46 runs with Ishan Kishan, who scored 38 off 31 balls before Marco Jansen dismissed him.
