MLC 2023: The inaugural season of Major League Cricket has been on fire. We have only witnessed three matches so far and all of them have been amazing. Texas Super Kings registered their first win in the inaugural match.

On the second day, San Francisco Unicorns and Seattle Orcas opened their accounts with a win against MI New York and Washington Freedom respectively. Mumbai Indians franchise losing their first match is just a ritual now, isn’t it?

San Francisco Unicorns Vs MI New York

Corey Anderson leads his side San Franciso to a huge score of 215/5. Anderson scored 91 runs in just 52 deliveries with 7 sixes. Shadab Khan also played a beautiful knock of 61 runs in just 30 deliveries with 5 sixes.

In reply, MI New York did a valiant effort but failed to reach the target as they were only able to make 193/5 in 20 overs. Tim David was the real star as he scored 53 runs in just 28 deliveries. Followed by 48 of 27 by Kieron Pollard and 40 of 28 by Nicholas Pooran.

But ultimately 215 was too big of a target for New York.

Seattle Orcas Vs Washington Freedom

On the other hand, Seattle Orcas defeated Washington Freedom in a very close match in Grand Prairie Stadium. While batting first, Washington Freedom was able to make only 144 runs in 20 overs.

A tough batting pitch was on display as none of the batsmen were able to bat freely. Wayne Parnell and Harmeet Singh took two wickets each. The easy-looking target for Seattle Orcars was made tough by the bowling of Washington bowlers.

Seattle chased the target in 19.4 overs with the help of Naumar Anwar 48 of 37 deliveries and Imad Wasim 43 of 38 deliveries. According to three matches, it looks like the MLC 2023 will be an intense and amazing tournament.
