MLC 2023: Dramatically Texas Super Kings became the third team to qualify for the MLC 2023 knockouts. Not only that but they also knocked down Washington Freedoms of their second position.
Now, with only one spot left, the two remaining teams are going to fight for it. While Mumbai Indians Newyork can qualify after winning the next match. San Fransico Unicorns will pray for their heavy defeat to that they can qualify.
But let’s take a look at the match between Texas Super Kings and San Fransico that decided the third team in the knock-out stages. It was one of the best matches of the tournament as no one knew who was gonna win till the end.
Daniel Sams The Hero
Daniel Sams became the hero for Super Kings as he led the team to victory with a fiery knock. In a match where victory was needed to qualify for both teams, Super Kings triumphed.
While batting first, SFU made a good total of 171 runs. Matthew Wade once again was the best batsman and scored 49 runs while Chaitanya Bishnoi also scored 35 important runs.
TSK had a shaky start and lost 5 wickets on just 92 runs. Then Daniel Sams entered the ground and changed the game. His 42 runs knock on just 18 deliveries was one of the best of the season. Milind Kumar also scored a half-century in 42 deliveries.
Battle For The Final Spot In MLC 2023
Both MINY and SFU have 4 points at the moment. But Mumbai Indians have one match remaining and a chance to qualify. San Fransisco needs Newyork to lose by a heavy margin so that they can qualify.
MINY will face Seattle Orcas tomorrow who have only lost one game so far. It will be an intense battle and a dramatic end to this knockout race.
