Mohammed Shami: Mohammed Shami’s estranged wife filed a Special Leave Petition with the Supreme Court, alleging that the fast bowler’s criminal case has been “erroneously stayed for the past 4 years, without any just circumstances,” and that he has continued to have extramarital affairs with prostitutes even while on tour with the senior national cricket team.
Kolkata court ordered Shami to pay his estranged wife a monthly alimony
A Kolkata court had earlier in January 2023 ordered Shami to pay his estranged wife Hasin Jahan a monthly alimony of Rs 50,000. Following the court order, Jahan demanded Rs 10 lakh per month from the Indian pacer because she was unhappy with the amount of alimony that Shami was to pay. Jahan filed a lawsuit in 2018 asking for a monthly alimony payment of 10 lakh rupees, which includes 7 lakh for personal costs and 3 lakh for the upkeep of their daughter.
Kolkata had issued the order to stay action against the cricketer-Hasin Jahan
The women’s grievance cell of the Kolkata Police questioned Shami and his older brother Hasib Ahmed in 2018, and the Alipore Court even issued an arrest order for the Indian batsman. The arrest warrant was later stayed, though. Shami received a clean bill of health from the BCCI Anti-Corruption Unit despite Hasin Jahan’s claims that Shami was complicit in match-fixing. When Hasin Jahan made a police report in Jadavpur in 2018, she first mentioned Mohammed Shami’s alleged domestic violence and adultery. Even though the fast bowler has maintained to refute all accusations, the cricketer’s estranged wife has been fervently pursuing case. Despite the fact that Shami “did not even pay for the stay of criminal trial and his sole grievance was only against the issuance of arrest warrants,” Hasin Jahan claimed in her most recent Supreme Court petition that the sessions court in Kolkata had issued the order to stay action against the cricketer.

Shami used to demand money from her, according to allegations
Hasin Jahan has asserted that Shami used to demand a dowry once more in her plea. Hasin Jahan, an IPL cheerleader and model, has made the alarming allegation that Mohammed Shami had continued to have extramarital affairs while travelling with the senior national cricket team. ‘Mr. Shami used to demand money from her and that he has engaged in ongoing, illegal extramarital relationships with prostitutes in hotel rooms provided by the BCCI, particularly during his BCCI tours. ‘According to Hasin Jahan’s allegations in the petition, Shami used to manage all of his affairs in relations with prostitutes on his second mobile phone, which the Lal Bazaar Police in Kolkata seized in connection with the current crime. However, Shami continues to engage in sexual activities with prostitutes, as claimed in the petition,’ according to petition. If Hasin Jahan’s accusations were found to be accurate in court, Mohammed Shami stated that ‘he was ready to apologise to her.’
