Tussle between Kohli and Bangladesh players

The incident occured during the lastball of the 20th over. Mehidy was able to get one to land on excellent length after watching Kohli’s defence technique of lunging forward to block the spin deliveries. In keeping with his plan, Kohli allowed the ball to strike the bat and pop gently towards short leg, but fielder Mominul was alert enough to complete the dismissal and displayed excellent reactions.

Having faced 22 deliveries, Kohli was shocked to learn that he had been out for just one run. But the celebration of Bangladeshi players, especially Taijul Islam, incited him to rage. Before captain Shakib Al Hasan intervened, he remained there once more, this time returning the home team’s gaze.

Despite the incident, cameras were unable to record the precise second that enraged Kohli’s irate response; as a result, when Siraj held the press conference at the conclusion of Day 3, a reporter questioned him about it. He replied saying, “To be honest, uss time mein ice bath le raha tha. I swear mujhe nehi pata kya huya tha uss time (I was taking an ice bath at that moment. So I did not see what happened then).

Stand-in captain KL Rahul and ace batsman Virat Kohli’s form has been a cause of worry for fans and the management. Since the home season is just a few days away, there return to form is quite necessary, especially when the ODI World Cup is just a few months away as well.
