The fairy tale love story of Ashish and Rushma Nehra
Despite the distance in their long-distance relationship, Rushma was always there for Ashish, especially during his difficult times. He has had several injuries in his career and is affectionately known as “Mr. Glass” of Indian cricket. When he had to return from the Zimbabwe tour in 2005 due to a back and ankle injury and underwent surgeries, Rushma was by his side throughout.
The couple got engaged seven years into their relationship when Ashish proposed to Rushma on a night out with friends. At first, she thought it was a prank, but when he repeated the question the next day, she said yes! Just ten days later, they were married, tying the knot on April 2, 2009. On their second anniversary, Ashish was part of the team that won the 2011 World Cup, giving Rushma the best gift ever.
Now, almost 13 years into their marriage, Ashish and Rushma are proud parents of two kids. They prioritize their children’s health and education, encouraging them to participate in adventurous activities such as learning how to live on a tree. Despite Ashish’s fame as a cricketer, the couple wants their kids to lead a normal life, away from the public eye.
