MotoGP Bharat: The summer in India is horrifying and we all know that. Many foreigners who who visits India could not handle this heat, after all, the average temperature is touching 40 degree celsius outside.
And it looks like this heat has also affected the upcoming MotoGP Bharat event which is scheduled for September 25th. Don’t worry, the event is not cancelled or anything, but will be shortened.
The Gautam Buddh Circuit, Greater Noida will host the 13th Grand Prix of the season out of total 20. The riders are really excited for this new track but at the same time are worried about the heat.
“It Is Horrible Out There”
Many riders have come out and talked about the scorching heat and how horrible it is. Even World Champion Francesco Bagnaia stated the affects of heat after the practice sessions on Friday.
“You feel your throat burning on the back straight. Your throat is burning, your legs are burning,” the champion stated. Meanwhile, Raul Fernandez stated that the hear will be difficult to manage.
The Spanish rider further stated that it is horrible out there and no one can imagine what it is like on a bike. “But anyway, I think we are very professional and we have to not think of that and try to do our maximum.”
MotpGP Bharat To Be Shortened
The organisers of the event have agreed to shorten the race by three whole laps. “After gaining a first full day of experience in the hot and humid conditions. Both of which are forecast to continue. Riders have asked for race distances to be adjusted.”
The worse thing is that the practice session usually takes place on morning and evening while the race will also take place in afternoon. And by then the temperature will definitely touch the 40 degree mark.
