MS Dhoni: On social media, a photo of Amit Shah, India’s Home minister, and MS Dhoni, the current captain of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and a former captain of the Indian cricket team, has gone viral. Netizens are speculating about Dhoni’s possible political transition.

Dhoni and Amit Shah can be seen shaking hands in the popular photo. The event marked the 75th anniversary of India Cements, a business owned by N Srinivasan, a former president of the BCCI. Srinivasan also owns the Dhoni-captained Chennai Super Kings, an IPL team.

He and Shah were joined at the event by the governor of Tamil Nadu, RN Ravi. In order to attend the event, Shah flew in a private plane from New Delhi to Chennai. L. Murugan, the state president of the BJP, welcomed him at the airport, along with other top BJP officials.
With a record of winning the most ICC trophies, Dhoni is India’s most successful captain. The wicketkeeper-batsman led India to victories in the 50-over World Cup in 2011 at home, the T20 World Cup in South Africa in 2007, and the Champions Trophy in 2013 in England.
