MS Dhoni: The former Indian skipper is one of the most loved figure in our country. We saw the live example during the latest IPL season when every match he played was filled with crowds of yellow.
It was like magic as wherever MS Dhoni was going, the stands were filled with his fans. Even in the opposition grounds, it was his name that was being shouted the loudest. No other player in the world has witnessed someone being worshipped like this.
Australian young star Cameron Green who is being hailed as a generational talent also thinks the same. Green could not get his head around the stardom that the CSK skipper was getting and commented on his IPL experience.
“MS Dhoni Is Like A God”
In an interview with Grade Cricketer, Cameron Green stated that “MS Dhoni is like a God figure, watching him walk out to bat in Chennai is one of the most ridiculous things to witness.”
The young prodigy also talked about the aura that ODI World Cup winning captain posses. “He’s got a really nice demeanour about him. He seems like a lovely guy, It’s pretty cool that I was on the field with him.”
ICC ODI World Cup 2023 In Sights
Cameron Green experienced a very good season of IPL as he scored 452 runs in the season. He was one of the main reasons that Mumbai Indians were able to qualify for the playoffs.
Now that he got that important experience of playing in sub continent, he might be looking forward to the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. The World Test Champion also has a ODI series in India right before the World Cup to prepare. He will be one of the players to keep an eye on in the tournament.
