IPL 2023: The captain of the Chennai Super Kings team, MS Dhoni, is preparing for the upcoming IPL 2023 tournament by practising on the field and getting involved in various tasks, including painting seats in the spectator area of their home ground, the Chepuk stadium in Chennai. The team shared a video on social media showing Dhoni using a paint spray to touch up the seats before the start of the season.
MSD paints for IPL 2023
On March 31, the Chennai Super Kings team, led by MS Dhoni, will begin their IPL 2023 tournament by playing against the Gujarat Giants, who are the defending champions and led by Hardik Pandya. The match will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. In the previous IPL season of 2022, Chennai and Gujarat played against each other twice, with Chennai losing both matches while Gujarat won both matches.
The video of MS Dhoni spraying on the seats was posted by the official handle of Chennai Super Kings on Twitter. Within just few hours, the video got viral and amassed thousands of views. Fans were quick to notice the video and commented on it. As the camp returns to Chepauk after a long time, both MSD and fans are leaving no stone unturned in making the return a memorable one.

Although it hasn’t been confirmed officially, it appears that MS Dhoni is planning to retire after playing in the IPL 2023 tournament. Dhoni, who is a wicketkeeper and batter, had expressed his desire to retire after playing the final match at the Chepauk stadium. For the 2023 IPL season, the BCCI has reverted back to the home-away format, and the Chennai Super Kings team has started their training sessions in Chennai with most of the squad members in attendance. Dhoni was observed hitting sixes during the training session and appears to be in excellent physical shape.
