Andrew Flintoff: After a harrowing accident in December of last year, former all-rounder Andrew Flintoff made his comeback to the England coaching team. Flintoff has joined the national team’s coaching staff to assist in the preparation of players for the upcoming four-match ODI series against New Zealand.

Andrew Flintoff faced a serious accident while filming for BBC’s Top Gear, resulting in fractured ribs and facial injuries that necessitated his airlifting to a Surrey hospital. Despite the severity of the incident, he miraculously escaped a fatal outcome.
Nine months after his accident, Andrew Flintoff was observed taking charge of fielding drills during England’s one-day match in Cardiff. He could be seen sporting an England bucket hat while actively engaging with the coaching staff and overseeing fielding exercises in preparation for the first ODI against New Zealand.
The 45-year-old was captured in conversation with bowling coach David Saker as they left the field. Additionally, the former cricketer was photographed seated alongside players Joe Root and Ben Stokes on the balcony. Despite not holding an official coaching position, he is giving his expertise to the team as an unpaid consultant.

During his illustrious 11-year international career, Flintoff made his mark by representing the national team in 79 Tests, 141 ODIs, and 7 T20Is. His impressive record includes amassing over 7,000 runs across the three formats and claiming 700 wickets. Additionally, he also captained the England team in 11 Tests and 14 ODI matches.
