Nitish Rana’s Wife: On Saturday, the police arrested two men in Delhi Police in relation to a case involving stalking and harassment, which was filed by the wife of Nitish Rana, the captain of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). The incident took place on May 4, and the accused have been identified as Chaitanya Shivam (18) and Vivek (18), both residing in Patel Nagar.

What had happened?
According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (West), Ghanshyam Bansal, a complaint was lodged at Kirti Nagar police station on Friday. The complaint was received via email and detailed an incident where the complainant claimed that she, along with her driver, was returning home from Chattarpur to Model Town in her car around 8:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Saachi Marwah, the wife of Mr Rana, was returning home from her workplace in Delhi’s Kirti Nagar when she became a target of stalking. Two men on a two-wheeler followed her, approached the vehicle she was travelling in, and began physically assaulting the car. Mrs Marwah acted swiftly by capturing photographs of the two men using her phone and subsequently shared the images on her social media platform.
Police’s statement read, “During the investigation, CCTV footage of the area was analysed from which the accused were identified as Chaitanya Shivam and Vivek. Later, both were arrested from their homes.” Mrs Marwah further alleged that the Delhi Police initially refused to register her complaint and instead advised her to “let it go” since she had safely arrived home.
