The BCCI has made it clear to all IPL franchises that no team can leave for UAE before August 20.
Earlier there were speculations about the Chennai Super Kings team who could leave for UAE on August 10 and they were fully prepared to leave on August 10, but now they will have to postpone their plans.
The IPL governing council shared this news with every team through an email.
“In an email from IPL Governing Council, we have been informed that we can leave for the UAE after 20 August.” Therefore, before this, there is no question of anyone going there. The instructions here are clear,” said a franchise official as quoted on Aaj Tak.
Government of India is still left to approve the organization of IPL in UAE
Till now, BCCI hasn’t received any green signal from the Government of India for the organization IPL in UAE. So far, only the Sports Ministry of India showed the green signal to for the IPL, but the BCCI can’t go ahead without the approval of the Home Ministry. The Home Ministry will share its verdict in this topic in the coming next week.
