According to former Indian captain Virat Kohli, the players are ready and they are hungry as well. Kohli was quite emotional and energetic in a promotional event that he attended on Monday in Bangalore.

He further stated how the 2011 ODI World Cup was a highlight for him and how he is looking forward to the challenges in the next three months. India will lace their boots next month for Asia Cup 2023 which will be followed by the ODI World Cup 2023.

“The Team Wants To Win”

It looks like the whole Indian cricket team is aware of the pressure and hope on them. Virat Kohli was very vocal about it and said that the pressure is always there. He acknowledged the fans and said he knew how they wanted the Indian team to win a cup so badly. He also stated that the 2011 World Cup was for Sachin Tendulkar.

The fans always say they want to win a cup very badly. I would like to say, not more than me. So, I am in the right place. Honestly, I know the expectations are there and the emotions of the people are there. But please know that no one wants to win more than players.” Kohli stated.
