NZ vs ENG: Ollie Pope, the England cricket player, made a spectacular catch at silly point on Saturday during the second Test against New Zealand at the Basin Reserve, Wellington. The struggling New Zealand team faced more difficulties as England, who won the first Test, seemed poised to also win the ongoing Test after a dominant performance. England declared their first innings at 435 for 8.
Ollie Pope stuns everyone with catch
During New Zealand’s innings, which was desperately in need of a good partnership, Ollie Pope demonstrated exceptional skill at silly point to hinder their progress. Daryl Mitchell, a right-handed batsman, was facing left-arm spinner Jack Leach when he went for a front foot defense and connected well with the ball.
However, in a fraction of a second, Ollie Pope’s incredible reflexes allowed him to catch the ball just as it lobbed up, leaving Mitchell and everyone else in awe. Mitchell’s reaction to the catch revealed his disbelief at the incredible display of fielding by the England star. The wicket put New Zealand in an even more precarious position at 96 for 6.
