ODI World Cup 2023 India Squad: India has announced the 15-men squad for the upcoming ODI World Cup. It might be one of the strongest multinational tournaments Indian side that we have seen in a very long while.

Skipper Rohit Sharma and head selector Ajit Agarkar attended the press conference to announce the squad. Just like the duo attended the press conference to announce the 18-man squad for the Asia Cup 2023.

It might be the first time that we have not seen any surprise entry in the squad since the 2015 selection. This is a good sign and indicates the stability and trust the selectors and skipper have in the team.

ODI World Cup 2023 India Squad

The 15-man squad for the ODI World Cup 2023 includes no surprise and is the same as the Asia Cup 2023 squad with two exclusions. Tilak Verma and Prasidh Krishna failed to qualify for the tournament and will leave Blues camp after Asia Cup 2023.

There is no extra backup for the keeping position as well with Ishan Kishan and KL Rahul being the only keeper. It is not worrisome as India will play the ODI World Cup 2023 in their home country, so they can call the backup at any time.

No Place For Chahal?

The exclusion of Yuzvendra Chahal created a lot of stir during Asia Cup 2023. It looks like that was not enough as the leg spinner failed to make the squad once again. The Men In Blues are going ahead without a wrist spinner once again which is a huge gamble.
