India’s star golfer Aditi Ashok missed out on winning the medal on Saturday. She finished fourth after the fourth and final rounds of the women’s golf event of the Tokyo Olympics. Despite this, she made history by showing a great game.
Nelly Korda of America came first and won the gold medal, second between Mone Inami of Japan and Lydia Ko of Australia (Australia). There was a tie for the number.
This is the second Olympics for Indian golfer Aditi Ashok. She was ranked 41st in Rio de Janeiro 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics. In such a situation, she created history by finishing fourth in the Tokyo Olympics, she missed the medal by just one shot, while Diksha Dagar of India got the 50th position.
Bad weather interfered during the fourth round. In this round, Aditi finished fourth, scoring 3 der 68. In the last round, she birdies on the fifth, sixth, eighth, 13th and 14th holes and bogeys on the ninth and 11th holes. Aditi started at number two on Saturday morning but she lagged behind. Aditi was in the race for the medal the whole time but with 2 bogeys she fell behind Lydia Ko who made 9 birdies in the last round.
