PAK vs ZIM: In an unexpected turn of events, Zimbabwean cricket supporters have threatened the Pakistan Cricket Team with vengeance for reportedly sending a forged Mr. Bean to a local event in their nation.
Zimbabwe moved to the same Super 12 group as India and Pakistan on October 21 after winning their last qualifying match against Scotland. On Thursday, Zimbabwe’s opening game of the Super 12 stage will be against Pakistan.
Zimbabwean cricket supporters, on the other hand, seem to be angry with Pakistan and are urging retaliation in their forthcoming game. On the Pakistan Cricket Board’s official Twitter account, a Zimbabwean fan commented on a tweet and threatened them with revenge in their upcoming match. The supporter said that Pakistan had sent a phoney Mr. Bean to a Zimbabwean function, and he promised that his side will resolve the issue at the Super 12 game.
When a few Pakistani Twitter users tried to figure out what was going on and the cause of the person’s rage, the latter hilariously revealed that Pakistan had sent someone to a local event in Zimbabwe dressed as Mr. Bean or the renowned British actor Rowan Atkinson to accuse him of “stealing” people’s money during his visit to the African nation.
Due to Pakistan’s propensity for playing Zimbabwe in frequent interviews during the past three years, fans have also responded to the Fake Mr. Bean scandal by dubbing it the largest rivalry in international cricket.
Pakistani Twitter users made amusing remarks on the aforementioned exchange on the microblogging site, giving the conflict another another intriguing facet and cause for anticipation. The “Fake Mr. Bean,” often referred to as the “Pak Bean,” is a Pakistani comedian from Karachi’s Kharadar district by the name of Mohammad Asif.
At the Harare Agricultural Show in 2016, Asif impersonated Mr. Bean, and because he resembled the character so well, people in Zimbabwe went out of their way to snap selfies with him.
