Arjun Babuta was left heartbroken during the Men's 10M Air Rifle finals in Paris Olympics 2024 as he missed out a medal by the barest margin.

Paris Olympics 2024: Alas! To be in that fourth spot that every shooter dreads, Arjun Babuta must be in misery right now. Considering that he was in a commanding position to win the medal till the 16th shot, this loss must be hurting even more.

It was a worthy final, where Sheng Lihao was as close to perfection as you could have asked for. He shot to a perfect 10.9 and was ahead of the rest of the shooters in the finals.

Because of his impeccable performance, the fight was always for the silver medal and Arjun was in the lead for quite some time. But just two shots completely ruined his game and he finished in that dreadful 4th spot.

So Close, Yet So Far!

Arjun was in Top-3 for most of the Final, but a few under-par shots took his medal chances away. Especially, the two 9 pointers that will haunt Arjun for the rest of his career.

By the end of the 17th shot, Arjun was in the second spot with 178.3 points. But an under-par shot dragged him down the fourth spot and from then he was never able to counter the lead.

Nonetheless, it was an inspiring performance. This comeback by Arjun is remarkable and the talent that he possesses will surely blossom in the future. Chin up champ, the whole nation is proud of you.

Paris Olympics 2024: Sad Day!

It has been a somewhat disappointing day for India till now. Ramita Jindal and Arjun Babita both missed out on individual medals. The team of Rhythm Sangwan and Arjun Singh Cheema also failed to qualify for the 10m air rifle mixed team final.

However, Manu Bhaker and Sarabjot Singh have qualified for the mixed team bronze medal match. We might have failed to win the medals but looking at the performance of Indians in the shooting event, you would know why so much is spent on them. Too much potential and hopefully it flourishes in the future.
