Paris Olympics 2024: How heartbreaking it must be to play a near-perfect game and still lose by just 2.4 cm. That is the size of a coffee bean. That is exactly what happened to Dhiraj in his Round Of 32 match.
It was a near-perfect match from the Indian archer and he made sure that the world knows why he is number 1. Dhiraj hit nine 10s in 5 sets and his score was never less than 28.
Still, by the barest of the margins, Eric Peters managed to win that game and it was a soul-crushing moment for every person in India. We have to commend the game by Eric as well, for how well he played that game.

It was a tough match from the start. Both of the participants were fighting for every single point and were playing a perfect game. Dhiraj started well and took the lead in the first round but Eric drew level immediately in the second round.
Dhiraj responded with a 29-point set to make it 4-2. In the next set, both of them scored a perfect 30 to make it 5-3 in the favour of the Indian. Eric scored another perfect 30 in the 5th round to make it 5-5 and force a shoot-off.
In the shoot-off, the winner would have been decided by the shot closest to the circle. And even though both of them scored a perfect 10, Eric’s shot was closer to the circle and was declared the winner.
Paris Olympics 2024: Another Chance
Dhiraj still has one more event left in the Paris Olympics 2024. Both he and Ankita will play in the mixed event and we hope and pray that this duo pulls out their best game and get the win that they deserve.
