Paris Olympics 2024: Thursday was a weird day for Indian fans. It started with a bang when Swapnil Kusale won the bronze medal in his 50M Shooting event and the whole nation was proud.
This win was followed by the heartbreaking loss of Nikhat Zareen and the duo of Satwik-Chirag. But nothing put Indian fans at a crossroads as the Pre-QF round between HS Prannoy and Lakshya Sen.
It was a bout between two brothers who were representing their country on the biggest stage. It was unfortunate because both of them could win medals but now one of them will be knocked out.
This was a confusing match for the Indian fans as they had no idea whom to support. After all, both are loved by the fans. This unavoidable clash between two teammates started a meme riot on social media and fans started sharing hilarious memes.
Paris Olympics 2024: Unfortunate
Before the match, HS Prannoy made it clear that he was not happy with this draw. He stated that the Olympic committee should do something so that it can be avoided in the future. As it can diminish the chances for a country to go back with a medal.
Prannoy stated, “It’s so unfortunate that two of the country’s best shuttlers have to play each other, hopefully, there will be a rule change regarding it in future.”
Not only Prannoy but every fan in the country thinks the same as it puts everyone at a crossroads. Lakshya Sen won the match dominantly in the end and Prannoy was knocked out of the Paris Olympics 2024. Sen won the match in straight sets as Prannoy looked out of it completely.
