In a tense final, Manu became the first Indian woman athlete to win a medal for India in shooting. It is a story that will be remembered for a very long time because Manu has overcome everything that came his way.

It is wild to think that she wanted to be a boxer when she was young. Well, she is still young, and after losing out on the Tokyo Olympics because of a malfunctioned gun, she showed everyone what she is made up of.

The Pride Of India

It was a tense final where Manu always remained in the top 3. She showed her prowess when she finished the first 10 shots in the third position. And after that, she never let go of the momentum.

Manu was focused and determined and with everyone behind her, she made sure to bring glory back to the country. Manu was constantly in the third position till the 20th shot.

She miraculously jumped to second in the 21st shot and was ready to secure the sliver for herself. But Kim Yeji from South Korea clutched hard with a 10.5 shot and Manu finished in third with 221.7 points.

Manu finished third with 221.7 points, just 0.1 points behind silver medalist Kim Yeji. Oh Ye Jin won the gold medal with an Olympic record of 243.2. Both silver and gold medals went to South Korea while China was knocked out early in the event.
