Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed heroes of Paris Olympics 2024 but Neeraj Chopra was missing from the event.

The honorable Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi met with the heroes of the Paris Olympics 2024 on the auspicious occasion of Independence Day. The Prime Minister met the winners at his residence in New Delhi.

PM Narendra Modi praised the Indian hockey team and their determination. He posed with all the athletes and congratulated everyone who brought back laurels to the nation.

Indian hockey team, Manu Bhaker, Sarabjot Singh, Arjun Kusale, and Aman Sehrawat were present at the felicitation ceremony. But Neeraj Chopra, the silver medalist in his event was missing from the event and it raised a few questions.

Paris Olympics 2024: Hero’s Welcome

PM Modi was in a joyous mood while meeting all the winners. He clicked pictures with everyone and also spoke to everyone and told them how proud he was of their performances.

The double gold medalist, Manu Bhaker also opened up about her journey to the Olympic Games. She told the Indian Prime Minister that it was her team that made it possible.

She stated, “This was my second Olympic tournament. My journey from the Tokyo Olympics to Paris was not an easy one but the credit goes to my team made it all possible.”

Neeraj Chopra Missing!

Notably, silver medalist Neeraj Chopra could not attend the event as he has not returned to India yet. The Golden Boy of India has delayed his homecoming and has traveled to Germany to consult a doctor for his injury.

A family source stated Chopra has left for Germany and he will not return to India for another month and a half. I am not aware of much of the details, but for sure he will consult a doctor there.”
