Neeraj Chopra registered his season-best throw to qualify for the Paris Olympics 2024 final in unreal fashion and the fans were in awe.

Paris Olympics 2024: There is no pressure big enough in front of Neeraj Chopra. He has shown time and time again that no matter the stage, he is going to deliver, and the bigger the stage, the better his performance.

Neeraj was in Group B of the javelin qualifying event. Earlier, Kishore Jena from India failed to qualify for the finals even after a spirited performance. So, all the pressure was on Chopra again to deliver for India.

And he did not let anyone down as he secured his qualification in just 1 throw. He did not need any more than one throw where he scored his seasonal best of 89.34 meters. The highest by any athlete in the qualification round.

Prelims Done!

The qualification round was divided into two groups and Neeraj was part of the second group. Kishore Jena was part of the first group and was not able to qualify for the finals even after crossing the 80-meter mark.

The qualification scenario was simple as either the thrower had to come in the top 12 or must cross the 84 Metre mark for automatic qualification. Neeraj not only crossed that 84-metre mark but also set his seasonal best.

Not only that, he was less than a meter shy of his personal best and was so close to breaking that 90-metre mark. But we hope that the 90-metre mark is crossed in the finals of the Paris Olympics 2024.

Paris Olympics 2024: What A Throw!

It was a sensational throw and at no point did it look like Neeraj was under any kind of pressure. The run-up looked so relaxed, with expressions like it was his daily job and celebration like there was still work to be done.

It was like a real champion on the field and he touched 89.34 metres just 0.60 metres shy of his personal best.
