Paris Olympics 2024: There are multiple ways to support your athletes and one should always do everything to support them. Especially in India where athletics is a growing culture and we are still far behind other countries.
On Tuesday, Neeraj Chopra kept the dream of a Paris Olympics 2024 gold medal alive when he secured qualification with flying numbers. He did his seasonal best and is the top contender to defend his title.
People are expecting big things from him in the final. Amidst the celebration, Indian cricket star Rishabh Pant put out a weird offer that confused the fans but also made them excited.
Prize Money Of 100089!
Pant went to his Twitter and wrote “If Neeraj Chopra wins a gold medal tomorrow. I will pay 100089 Rupees to lucky winner who likes the tweet and comment most. And for the rest top 10 people trying to get the attention will get flight tickets. Let’s get support from India and outside the world for my brother.”
It is a beautiful gesture but also a little bit weird. The prize money is too much and too bizarre and the flight tickets offer was also very weird, to say the least. This led to fans believing that Pant’s account was hacked.
But it has been hours since that post and the wicketkeeper-batsman has posted a few times after this so the offer is valid. This post has now sparked a flurry of similar promises from other fans and the support behind Chopra keeps on increasing.
While this was quite an unorthodox way of finding support, it has worked and more and more people are going to support our Javelin star now.
Paris Olympics 2024: Eyeing The Gold!
Neeraj secured qualification to the finals with an impressive throw of 89.34 meters, his seasonal best. He also had the highest throw in the qualifiers and the second-best was almost a meter short of him.
On the other hand, Vinesh Phogat has also reached the finals of Women’s 50 KG freestyle wrestling. She will face United States’ Sarah Hildebrandt in the final and can win the first gold medal for India.
