Swapnil Kusale made history and won bronze medal in his event during Paris Olympics 2024 and his family was ecstatic.

Paris Olympics 2024: It is a story that deserves all the recognition. A boy from Kohlapur who was born into a family of farmers has now made everyone proud on the world stage.

Swapnil Kusale, who is playing his first Olympics won the third medal for India in Paris Olympics in 2024. It gets more unreal when you think that Swapnil used to work as a TT and this is his only second professional medal at World Stage.

From being a ticket collector to collecting medals in the Olympics, this has been an unreal journey. It is the fruit of Swapnil’s hard work but a little bit of the credit should be given to his family as well, who has supported him through thick and thin.

Family Estactic

While Swapnil celebrated this historic feat with just a fist bump, his family back in Pune was jumping and dancing in joy. And who can blame them? The whole nation was like that only when the medal was confirmed.

There was a huge shout from his brothers and other relatives while his mother asked everyone to calm down till the match was over. We also saw Swapnil’s portrait in the video which now needs changing.

It was a celebratory mode in the house as his father thanked the gods and Swapnil’s coach Deshpande Ma’am who has groomed Swapnil for the past 10 years. He further stated that she was not only his coach but a motherly figure in his life.

Swapnil’s father further stated that he was afraid in the qualification round but had no worries during the finals. He also stated that a massive welcome for Swapnil will be done when he reaches back home.
