Edinho also shared a photo of himself holding his father’s hand. “Dad… my strength is yours,” he said. Pele had a colon tumor removed in September last year, but neither his family nor his doctors have said whether it had spread to other organs. Pele led Brazil to World Cup glory in 1958, 1962, and 1970. During the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Neymar recently tied Pele’s all-time record as Brazil’s leading scorer (77 goals).
