Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday congratulated Team India for winning the third T20 World Cup for the Blind. The Prime Minister wished Team India all the best for their future endeavours.
Congratulating Team India, PM Modi wrote in a tweet, “India is proud of its athletes. Happy they have won the T-20 World Cup. Congratulations to our team and best wishes for their future endeavours.”
In this World Cup final, the Indian team has defeated the Bangladesh team by 120 runs. Captain Ajay Kumar Reddy and Sunil Ramesh have scored centuries. Batting first, India scored 277 runs for two wickets in 20 overs. Sunil Ramesh scored 136 while Reddy scored 100.
India’s first wicket fell in the fourth over itself. Salman dismissed Venkareshwar for 28 runs. Meena got out in the same over. Ramesh and Reddy played an aggressive innings against Bangladesh in the World Cup final despite a double setback.
Remember, it was Ramesh’s third century of the tournament. Both the Indian batsmen shared an unbeaten 248-run partnership. Ramesh played an inning of 136 runs in 63 balls. Reddy played an inning of 100 runs in 50 balls. Chasing a mammoth target of 278 runs, Bangladesh team managed only 153 runs in their entire quota of 20 overs. Bangladesh openers Salman and Ashiqur Rahman got their team off to a good start.
