PM Modi wrote a letter to MS Dhoni and shared his emotional viewpoint. MS Dhoni shared the letter on his twitter account and thanked the Prime Minister of India for his message.
“An Artist, Soldier, and Sportsperson what they crave for is appreciation, that their hard work and sacrifice is getting noticed and appreciated by everyone. thanks, PM @narendramodi for your appreciation and good wishes,” MS Dhoni wrote on his Twitter account.
MS Dhoni played 350 ODIs, 90 Test, 98 T20I for India, and more than that he captained the Indian team in more 200 ODIs which highest from any Indian captain. He also scored more than 17,000 runs as the captain of Indian team.
Dhoni-led the Indian side in the winning trial of 2007 World T20, 2011 World Cup, 2013 Champions trophy, and Indian team also achieved the Test mace in 2013.
Earlier Dhoni had retired from the Test cricket in Australia in December 2014. He also stepped down as captain of the Indian ODI team in 2017 January.
The 39-year old will next feature in the upcoming Indian Premier League which will take place in the UAE from September 19.
