During the game, Babar Azam was involved in a humorous moment with his Pakistan teammate, Hasan Ali. While running a single, Babar pretended to hit Hasan with his bat, causing the pacer to run for cover. Hasan was later awarded Player of the Match, taking 3/35. During the post-match press conference, Babar talked about his interaction with Hasan during the game, explaining that he was trying to compete with him and put him under pressure. He also discussed his own fitness and form, expressing his happiness at contributing to his team’s success.

However, Babar was left frustrated with himself when he could only score a single off the last ball of the innings bowled by Rumman Raees. The ball hit the toe end of his bat, rolling over to deep mid-wicket for a single, which led Babar to slam his bat on the ground in frustration. Overall, the match ended in disappointment for Zalmi, who will need to regroup and find a way to get back on track for the rest of the tournament.
