PSL 2023: South African T20 player Rilee Rossouw had a successful comeback to the Pakistan T20 league, playing for Multan against Quetta on February 15. He scored an impressive 78 not out off 42 deliveries, helping Multan achieve a much-needed boost in their Net Run Rate (NRR) during the early days of the 2023 edition of the tournament.
Rilee Rossouw smashes powerful six
Rossouw entered the pitch at No.3 with Multan having lost an early wicket in their chase, and his performance was outstanding to watch. He smashed the bowling to all parts of the ground, hitting nine fours and three sixes in his innings. One of his shots, a six over mid-wicket off the first ball of the 12th over, stood out for its sheer power and precision. Rossouw executed it perfectly, timing the ball to perfection with a terrific downswing, effortlessly dispatching the ball over the boundary ropes.
Rossouw’s return to the Pakistan T20 league for Multan was impressive, with a jaw-dropping strike rate of 185.71, showing his intent to dominate the game from the very beginning. Multan had rallied around pacer Ihsanullah’s amazing spell of 5/12 to dismiss Quetta for a mere 110 in 18.5 overs, setting up an easy chase for themselves.
