PSL 2023: During the match between Multan Sultans and Quetta Gladiators, Usman Khan made history in the Pakistan Super League by scoring the fastest century ever. He achieved this feat by smashing the century off just 36 balls, hitting 11 fours and seven sixes in the process. Interestingly, Usman broke the record that was set by his teammate Rilee Rossouw only a day earlier, who scored a century in 41 balls.

Usman was in great form throughout the innings, ending up with a magnificent total of 120 runs off only 43 deliveries. Although he was eventually dismissed by Mohammad Nawaz, he had already caused significant damage to the Gladiators, as the Sultans looked poised for a huge total.
Multan Sultans completely dominated Quetta Gladiators during the first innings. The Sultans amassed an enormous total of 262/3 runs by the end of the 20 overs, leaving the Gladiators with a massive target to chase down in the second innings.
Multan Sultans skipper Mohammed Rizwan played an outstanding innings, scoring 55 runs, and was ably supported by the middle order batsmen who carried forward the momentum from the beginning of the innings. This helped Sultans to achieve the highest total ever in the history of the Pakistan Super League. Additionally, during the innings, Qais Ahmed bowled the most expensive four-over spell in T20 history, conceding 77 runs.
Rilee Rossouw’s record
During their previous match, Multan Sultans displayed a brilliant batting performance, overpowering Peshawar Zalmi’s total of over 240 runs. Despite setting a formidable target, Zalmi were unable to defend it against the Sultans, who ultimately emerged victorious by four wickets. Rilee Rossouw played a pivotal role in the Sultans’ triumph, scoring a century in just 41 balls. In addition, Kieron Pollard also played an outstanding inning, perfectly fulfilling the role of the finisher by smashing a quickfire 52 runs off just 25 deliveries.
