Pujara confident for Indian bowlers to repeat 2018’s performance against Australia

The presence of David Warner and Steve Smith makes the Australian team strong, but Cheteshwar Pujara is confident of India’s ‘best’ bowlers that they will be able to repeat the success of the Test series in 2018-19. In that series, Pujara had scored more than 500 runs with the help of the three-century, which helped the Indian team to win the Test series 2–1 on Australian soil for the first time.

However, Smith and Warner were not part of the Australian team in that series. Both were suspended for ball-tampering. The trusty batsman from India, who batted at number three, said, “The Australian batting order will be slightly stronger than in the 2018-19 season, but still the victory is not easy.”

Pujara believes that the trio of India’s fast bowlers Jasprit Bumrah, Ishant Sharma, and Mohammed Shami could repeat the success of 2018-19, causing domestic batsmen to face a lot of trouble. This Test series against Australia will begin on 17 December.
