Former Australia opener Matthew Hayden feels that India’s Test batsman Cheteshwar Pujara is one of those batsmen who can harm the opposition team even after a low strike rate.
Pujara scored 521 runs with three centuries on the last Australian tour in 2018-19. He was voted Man of the Series. This time too, he will remain the main axis of the team’s batting.
Hayden told Star Sports, ‘As you know that Australians like to drink coffee and when Pujara was batting, we made sure that we had enough caffeine, but he bothered badly. ‘
Hayden said, “We are in the generation that likes those with good strike rates, but Pujara is one of those batsmen in Test cricket who have a strike rate of less than 45 and they can bother you.”
