During Australia’s victory against the West Indies in the second Test, Nathan Lyon of Australia reached the milestone of 450 Test wickets in 112 matches. During the two-match series, Ashwin will try to surpass the Australian spinner. In addition to Kumble’s record, Ashwin has a chance to surpass Zaheer Khan as Bangladesh’s top wicket-taker. In seven games, the former pacer has taken 31 wickets. In order to break the record, Ashwin needs 16 more wickets in the series after taking 16 in just 4 games.

India and Bangladesh series to begin tomorrow
India and Bangladesh test series begins from December 14th. The test squad has already started training with players from Team India. Ravichandran Ashwin was seen bowling the nets at Chattogram in a video posted on the BCCI social media account. On Sunday, practise is anticipated to start for Cheteshwar Pujara and KS Bharat.
