R Praggnanandhaa continued his giant slaying streak as he defeated the defending world champion and kept his championship dream alive.

R Praggnanandhaa is on a roll right now and his giant slaying form continues as he defeated the reigning world champion Dang Liren in a thrilling Armageddon tiebreaker round.

It was an exhausting match for both players as they played a draw in the classical game. Liren is in a bad phase in the ongoing Norway Chess tournament and looks like a shadow of his former self.

He needs to regroup seriously and look at the next World Championship cycle as he is currently in sixth position in Norway.

The 18-year-old Indian Grandmaster will face Carlsen in a highly anticipated rematch that might even decide the fate of this championship. A win against Carlsen can propel Pragg to the Norway championship.
