Ramiz Raja’s bizarre comment on Babar Azam
After the Pakistani captain scored the game-winning hundred in an LPL 2023 encounter on August 7, Ramiz Raja showered him with praise. He bizarrely asserted that he would love to marry Babar Azam, the Pakistan cricketer who is at the height of his game, while praising his consistency. The strange remark was made by Ramiz Raja, who was on the LPL commentary team, as he congratulated Babar Azam for hitting his tenth T20 century.
While on-air, Ramiz Raja said, “Fifty in security, class, and quality, calmness. He is your guy in such a situation, in the back deep in the innings. I just absolutely love him – wanna marry him.” Since then, the video of Raja’s commentary has gained a lot of popularity. Babar became only the second player in the sport’s history to score 10 hundreds in T20 cricket with the century on Monday. Chris Gayle now owns the T20 record with 22 hundreds.

Babar Azam’s first LPL season got off to a poor start with just seven runs scored in his opening game. He swiftly recovered, though, hitting 59 and 41 in the games that followed. His outstanding effort culminated in a valiant victory for the Colombo Strikers over the Galle Titans thanks to a stunning century he produced against them. In addition to giving his team an unstoppable momentum, Azam’s game-winning innings of 104 runs off 59 balls also represented his 10th three-figure score in T20 cricket, becoming him the second player after Chris Gayle to accomplish this milestone.
