Shafali Verma and Sneh Rana are nominated for the ICC Women’s Players of the Month award for June.
Batsman Shafali and all-rounder Sneh face competition from England left-arm spinner Sophie Ecclestone, who too has been nominated.
While in the men’s category Kyle Jamieson, Devon Conway, and Quinton de Kock are nominated for the award. Conway was impressive in the England series where he scored a double century on his Test debut. While Kyle Jamieson was the player of the match in the World Test Championship final against India.
“The nominees for the monthly men’s awards this time are Devon Conway, Quinton de Kock and Kyle Jamieson while Sophie Ecclestone, Sneh Rana and Shafali Verma figure in the women’s shortlist,” said a statement from the International Cricket Council (ICC).
