Ranji Trophy 2022-23: In the current Ranji Trophy 2022-23 match between Maharashtra and Assam, which is taking place at the D Y Patil Academy, Ambi, experienced batter Kedar Jadhav was in top form. The toss was won by the Maharashtra captain Ankit Bawane, who elected to bowl first.

Assam scored 274 runs, with 65 runs each from Sarupam Purkayastha and Akash Sengupta, and took three wickets each from Ashay Palkar and Pradeep Dadhe. The finest innings was played by Kedar Jadhav, who returned to the Maharashtra side after three years and blasted a fantastic 283 runs in 283 balls with 21 fours and 12 sixes to his name. Siddhesh Veer, the opener for Maharashtra, too smashed 106 runs. In 207 balls, Kedar scored his second century. In 258th ball, he scored 250 runs.

With Veer, he scored a huge 265 runs for the third wicket, while with Ashay Palkar, he added 80 runs (39). By 17 runs, he fell short of reaching his third century, which would have been his second in the Ranji Trophy if he had succeeded.

As Maharashtra reached 594/9 in their first innings after 147 overs, Riyan Parag, who took 4/165, dismissed Jadhav. Assam has currently started their batting,

Kedar Jadhav international career

It should be noted that Kedar Jadhav last competed for India in 2020. Throughout his international career, he played 73 One-Day Internationals and scored 1389 runs, including 2 centuries and 6 half-centuries. He also participated in 9 T20 Internationals, amassing 122 runs and one fifty. Additionally, Jadhav didn’t participate in the IPL 2023 auction and his last IPL game was in 2021, during which he scored 55 runs in six games.
