IND Vs AUS: The first test match of Border Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia is ongoing in Nagpur. Indian spinner R Ashwin is also a part of the playing XI and he made a new record while playing the first test match against Australia. Ashwin proved that he can’t be away from record lists for a long time as he continues making records continuously. He took three wickets in today’s match and became the second fastest bowler to complete 450 Test-wickets.
Ashwin achieved the milestone of second fastest in balls bowled
Indian spinner came on second number after Sri Lankan legend bowler Muttiah Muralitharan who achieved this landmark in only 80 matches. It took R Ashwin just 89 matches to achieve this milestone after Muralitharan. The Indian off-spinner also achieved the record of second fastest in terms of balls bowled (23635) only behind former Australian bowler Glenn McGrath (23474).

Talking about the match, India dominate the match and bowled out Australia for 177 with the help of Ravindra Jadeja’s five-wicket haul and R Ashwin’s three wickets. Apart of Indian spinners, Mohammed Siraj and Mohammed Shami gave a brilliant start to India with taking two wickets in the first session of the match. India came for batting and Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul made a partnership of 76 runs for the first wicket. However, Todd Murphy caught and bowled KL Rahul for 20 but Rohit Sharma showed his class with the score of unbeaten 56.
