Ambati Rayudu returns from retirement, will play for THIS League

Rayudu will join Texas Super Kings in the first-ever Major League Cricket that will be played in two major cities across America.

Ambati Rayudu will return from his retirement to play for Super Kings again. Yes, you read that right. Ambati Rayudu became the first player who used to play for India’s senior cricket team to register himself in Major League Cricket.

Rayudu will join Texas Super Kings in the first-ever Major League Cricket that will be played in America. MLC is the first cricket league in America approved by American Cricket Enterprises (ACE), which will be played from July 17 to July 31 across two American cities.

Back From The Retirement

Ambati Rayudu announced his retirement from all formats of cricket, including IPL, last month after winning the title. The final saw Rayudu scoring a blistering knock of 17 runs. Those 17 runs included one over of Mohit Sharma, where Rayudu only talked in sixes.

He changed the tides for Chennai Super Kings and showed everyone why he is such an elite batsman. That is why Super Kings wanted his service again in a different country. And in the end, Texas Super Kings were able to get hold of Rayudu.

Texas Super Kings announced on their Twitter that they had signed Ambati Rayudu for their team. He became the seventh overseas player to join Texas’s camp. It must have taken a lot of time for Super King’s camp to convince Rayudu, hence the announcement was this late.

They have acquired David Miller, Devon Conway, Ambati Rayudu, Mitchell Santhner, Dwayne Bravo, Daniel Sams, and Gerald Coetzee in the form of overseas players. Stephen Fleming will be the head coach for Texas Super Kings, while Micheal Hussey will be the batting coach.

You don’t have to wait much to see Rayudu in action, as the first match of MLC will be against Texas Super Kings and LA Knight Riders.
