RCB vs DC IPL 2023: The second match of today’s double-header is currently underway between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals at the latter’s home ground. Coming to bat first, RCB made a strong start as Virat Kohli also became the first batter to score 7,000 runs in the tournament. However, his dismissal was rather comical as the fielder kept on juggling the balls for a few seconds.
Virat Kohli’s comical dismissal
RCB had a strong start in the game as they had a first-wicket partnership of 82 runs. However, Maxwell departed for a golden duck just on the next ball after Faf Du Plessis’s wicket (45 off 32). Virat and Lomror then stabilised the innings with their knocks and moved forward to a score of 126/2 in 15 overs.
Virat Kohli had scored his fifty just on the last ball of the 14th over and Mukesh Kumar came to bowl the next one. The momentum was on RCB’s side as the first five balls gave away 11 runs. Virat tried to go for a big hit on the last ball, which came at a fuller length but flicked it straight to Khaleel near the wicketkeeper. He juggled the ball four times in his hand before being finally taking the catch. Kohli was dismissed for a score of 55 runs in 46 balls while many others burst out laughing seeing the catch.
