RCB vs DC WPL 2023: Delhi Capitals have defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by six wickets in an exciting clash that took place on 13th March at DY Patil Stadium, Mumbai. With this last over victory, DC has strengthened its position for the next round, whereas even after five matches RCB is yet to claim a win. They are currently positioned at the bottom of the table and are the only team which is win-less in the tournament. With five matches passed without any victory, RCB has been virtually knocked out.

A “Team” performance by DC
On to the chase of 151 runs target, opener and explosive batter, Shafali Verma failed as she was dismissed for a duck by Meghan Schutt. Skipper Meg Lanning could not do much as she was also out for just 15 off 18 balls. Alice Capsey scored 38 off 24 balls, hitting eight boundaries. Jemimah Rodrigues also played a crucial knock as she scored 32 off 28 balls.
However, after her dismissal Marizanne Kapp and Jess took the charge and scored 32* and 29*, respectively, and took the team beyond the line. Asha Shobana picked two wickets while Meghan Schutt and Preeti Bose picked a wicket as well.
Ellyse Perry and Richa Ghosh strike again
Earlier, after losing the toss, Royal Challengers Bangalore came to bat first. Skipper Smriti Mandhana failed to make a remark in the fifth match as well as she was dismissed for 8 off 15 balls. Sophie Devine scored 21 off 19. However, Ellyse Perry continued marching as she scored second consecutive fifty and scored an unbeaten 67 off 52 balls.
At the end, Richa Ghosh played a valiant cameo as she smashed 37 off 16 balls, hitting three boundaries and as many maximums. Shikha Pandey picked up a three wicket haul while Tara Norris picked a wicket as well.
